3 eggs
1.5 cup buttermilk or sour milk
1 teaspoon soda
2 cups whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
0.5 cup oil
Eggs may be separated.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
Add to batter when done.
Mix together dry ingredients.
Mix together wet ingredients.
Add wet to dry ingredients and beat until smooth.
Fold in egg whites.
"This wasn't originally a whole wheat flour recipe, so you will probably need a little more milk (buttermilk/sour milk). It's the easiest and also the tastiest waffle recipe I've tried," Mom added.
Makes enough for four to six servings.
